About 'Flower Border Card Stitching Pattern'

Craft a pretty floral handmade card with this flower circle stitching pattern.

There are SO many possibilities with this pattern.

You can use it on a card front like I've done in the photo below, or you could stitch it and put it in a box frame with a photo in the middle, or even use it on your scrapbook pages!

Flower Border Card Stitching Pattern

I really enjoy making patterns that can be use for different purposes and in different colour-schemes depending on your crafting mood and the type of project you are working on.

This flower circle card stitching pattern certainly fits in with that!

How to make a card stitching card

  1. Print out the free card stitching pattern onto regular printed paper. The pattern can be downloaded using the buttons at the bottom of this post.
  2. Rough cut around the edge of the pattern and attach it to the front of a piece of hammered white card using masking tape.
  3. Place the card on top of a foam surface so that you will be able to prick through it. I use a piece of packing foam that I 'rescued' from an old parcel delivery.
  4. Use a pricking tool or similar and prick through all the dots on the pattern.

  5. Remove the masking tape and pattern and place to one side.
  6. Choose your embroidery thread colours and thread an embroidery needle with your first colour.
  7. Use a small piece of sticky tape to attach the end of the thread to the back of your card.
  8. Thread your needle through the holes in the card and stitch it, following the lines on the pattern template.
  9. When you get to the end of a thread, use another piece of sticky tape to attach it to the back of the card.
  10. When you have stitched the entire paper embroidery pattern you can cut the white hammered card to size and then stick it to a card blank.
  11. I used a deep purple card front. Before I stuck the card on, I cut out each of the four corners using a decorative punch and then I put some silver glitter card behind it for a bit of sparkle.
  12. To finish the card, I stick some butterfly peel-off stickers on to more of the glitter card, fussy-cut around the edges and stuck them to the card using 3D foam pages so that they stand out a little bit from the main card.

I hope that you enjoy stitching this flower border card stitching pattern!

Happy crafting,
Sarah x
