About 'Watercolour Snow Scene Pyramage Card'

I got such lovely emails and comments about the Watercolour Westie Pyramage Card that I released a few weeks ago that I thought I'd create a similar design today.

I've kept things really simple with this card so it only takes about 15 minutes to make and can be done with just basic card making supplies.

Watercolour Snow Scene Christmas Card Instructions

You will need...

Make a handmade snow scene Christmas card

Step 1: Print the craft sheet

Print the watercolour snow scene craft sheet onto photo paper or card.

I use Crafty Bob Glossy Paper which is a special type of paper designed for greetings cards and crafts.

I like to use this paper because the printer ink dries instantly and is smudge-proof straight after printing, so you can use the printed sheet straight away.

If you aren’t a fan of the glossy shiny look to your printouts then the paper is available in matte too.

Step 2: Cut out the elements

Cut out all the parts of the sheet.

I used a craft knife and cutting mat to cut out the rectangular card front so that all my edges were nice and straight. You could also use a paper trimmer.

Step 3: Stick the card front to your card blank

Use double-sided tape to attached the rectangular card front onto your A5 card blank.

The card front has been designed to be slightly smaller than A5 so that you have a bit of the card blank showing around the edge.

Step 4: Build the pyramage layers

Add 3D foam pads to the backs of all the oval cutouts.

Stick them onto the card front in size order, with the largest first.

This creates a "pyramid" effect to make the card appear 3D.

And that's it! I told you it was going to be simple ;)

You could decorate the card further with peel-off stickers, gemstones or embellishments but I wanted to keep this one really simple.
