The pattern comes in two sizes so you can choose either the large or small ghost depending on the size of the handmade card that you are creating.
As you can see in the preview image below, this is a simple little pattern so it's perfect for iris folding newbies.
It's pretty easy to cut out the shape as well, so this would be an ideal iris folding pattern for older kids to try out.
For my sample card I used a 5x7 inch white card blank as the base for my card.
I cut the ghost shape from black card and made the iris folding design with kitchen roll for a bit of texture.
This worked out really well and I love the indented pattern on the paper towels because it gives an extra "something" to the card that plain white paper just wouldn't have achieved.
It's also fairly thin so my card didn't end up bulky once I completed all the folding.
If you're new to iris folding, watch the video below to find out how to do it:
Once all the folds were done, I stuck the completed iris folding topper onto some bright yellow paper and cut a thin border around the edge, then mounted it to my card blank.
Finally, I added some googly eyes to the iris folding ghost to add some character and finished off the card with some blue and silver star stickers for that all-important bit of sparkle!
Have fun making these little ghostie handmade cards this Halloween!
