About 'Floral ‘Thank You’ Circle Free SVG'
Happy New Year, and welcome to my first project for 2020 - and it's something VERY different to anything you've seen from me before!! That's right, I'm branching out into SVG files for cutting machines such as Cricuts and Silhouettes!
I was very lucky this Christmas and was given a Cricut Maker as a joint present from my dad, brother and grandad.
I've wanted a Cricut machine for years, so I am REALLY excited to start playing with it and to see everything that it can do.
The day after I took it out the box I made this Gingerbread House with it - how cute is this?
It's taken a few days, but I think I've finally cracked how to design my own SVGs (cutting files) that can be used on a Cricut machine.
To thank my family for this VERY generous gift, I've been making "Thank You" cards.
How To Make Thank You Cards Using Your Cricut Machine
Here my first attempt at designing an SVG cutting file - what do you think?
The background papers and button rosette are from the Sweet Paris collection by Dovecraft.
I love these papers as they have a gorgeous floral theme combined with stylish Parisian imagery in muted shades of green, pinks and reds.
I think that perhaps my "Thank You" SVG would have blended in a bit better if I had cut it from pink card rather than red, but unfortunately I don't have any solid-coloured pink card to cut with. I'll need to get some and try it again!

If you would like to use this "Thank You" SVG file on your own Cricut, Silhouette or other cutting machine then follow the instructions in the box at the bottom of this page to get your free download.
The "Thank You" card template comes in SVG and PNG formats.
The SVG version comes with a matching circular mat so that you can cut a perfectly-sized circle to sit behind the floral topper, as I did in my example card above.
Don't have a cutting machine? Not a problem!
You can print the png version and use it as a template to hand-cut the design using a craft knife. One of these rotating blade knives will make it much easier to cut in between all the flower petals and letters.
Or alternatively, you could recolour the png in Photoshop or another graphics program and then print it out and simply cut around the edge of the circle for an easy DIY printable topper for your Thank You cards.
