Make a handmade gold Christmas tree card
Step 1: Print the craft sheet
Print the Christmas tree pyramage craft sheet onto photo paper or card.
I use Crafty Bob Glossy Paper which is a special type of paper designed for greetings cards and crafts.
I like to use this paper because the printer ink dries instantly and is smudge-proof straight after printing, so you can use the printed sheet straight away.
If you aren’t a fan of the glossy shiny look to your printouts then the paper is available in matte too.
Step 2: Cut out the elements
Cut out all the parts of the sheet.
I used a craft knife and cutting mat to cut out each piece so that all my edges were nice and straight.
You could also use a paper trimmer although this may be tricky on the smaller triangles.
Step 3: Stick the card front to your card blank
Use double-sided tape to attached the rectangular card front onto your A5 card blank.
The card front has been designed to be slightly smaller than A5 so that you have a bit of the card blank showing around the edge.
Step 4: Build the pyramage layers
Add 3D foam pads to the backs of all the triangle cutouts.
Stick them onto the card front in size order, with the largest first.
This creates a “pyramid” effect to make the card appear 3D.
Step 5: Decorate your tree
Add a sentiment to your card by attaching one of the word toppers with 3D foam pads.
Finally, add some festive decorations to your tree such as gold peel-offs around the edge of the design and green gemstones on the lace background design.
